Chicken pad thai with Italian peppers

In 1939 the Thai government wanted to increase nationalism and named one of the country’s most typical dishes Pad Thai. Then, to increase the consumption of this dish, the government subsidised noodles to make it easier to distribute the dish in urban areas and thus creating one of the first street foods financed by a government. Meal rich in protein and dietary fiber.

Prepare the ingredients:

Cut pepper into strips.
Cut scallion at an angle.
Cut chicken into medallions.
Mince garlic and ginger.
Chop peanuts.
Cut lime into wedges.

The noodles:

Boil noodles for 8 minutes.
Pass them through cold water and set aside.
(You can leave them in the water until you need them again.)

The chicken:

Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the chicken for 3-5 minutes until cooked.
Season with salt and pepper.
Set aside on a plate.
Leave the excess juices (if any) in the frying pan.  

The wok I:

In the same frying pan, fry garlic and ginger for 30s.
Add a dash of oil if necessary. Add pepper and sauté until tender.
Add soy sauce and mix.

The wok II:

Add noodles, chicken and pad thai sauce. Stir well until everything has heated through.

Your meal:

Serve your pad thai and finish with a sprinkle of scallion and peanuts.
Squeeze some lime juice on top.
