Classic hamburger with German style potato salad

The hamburger’s origin is uncertain, but it is widely believed to have originated in Hamburg, Germany, in the early 19th century. There, sailors would eat a dish called “Rundstück warm” - a warm, bread roll filled with a patty of chopped beef. It eventually made its way to America, where it became popular among working-class Americans, particularly in the early 20th century with the rise of fast-food chains. Today, hamburgers are a staple food around the world, with countless variations and adaptations. It is a quintessential symbol of American cuisine, and its popularity shows no signs of slowing down.
